Sissy - Why was Piglet in the toilet?
Me - What??? Who put Piglet in the toilet????
Sissy - No, not our Piglet, it's a joke. Why was Piglet in the toilet?
Me - Ohhhh, I don't know, why?
Sissy - Because he was looking for POOH!!!
I thought it was quite cute - she was proud to learn that one from a couple of boys in her class!

I must confess...
As I unloaded the dryer and began folding clothes I had a realization about my previous blog. My statement about hubby hunting was based on jealousy...
I think if I could go out and spend an hour or two every day, alone, doing something I really like - I might do it too! But then who would be doing the laundry???

Hunting season is almost over...
and I am so very happy. I am very thankful that hubby has a hobby and that we have the land here so that he doesn't have to go somewhere else...but, every single day - come on man, get a life!
These are my thoughts, but I don't share those with him. I don't think that would go over very well...
He went visiting a hunting club a couple of weeks ago, and my three kids were at my sister's house. I believe that was the first time I have ever been alone at home all night. It was nice at first (hubby even felt sad that I didn't seem to miss him so much!) but then it got really quiet. I finally found a movie on TV ("Life is Beautiful") and then read some of Don Quixote - which is a massive book - and then went to bed.
I couldn't figure out how to sleep. I thought I should shut and lock my bedroom door. Then after a few minutes I decided to open the door, because I would want to hear an intruder before he got to my bedroom door...so I open it. Then I hear all kinds of noises. I even wake up several times thinking that I hear one of the kids crying....so much for a good night's sleep.
Back to Don Quixote...I have decided to try to start reading some of the classics. I'm not sure how far I'll make it, but I thought it would be worth a try. There are some really funny parts in it - I've even shared some with the kids. But it is just soooo big. I'm on page 248...only about 1000 more to go! How can someone write that much???? I have enough trouble blogging!

My morning of exercise
I hope mopping floors counts as exercise. I really do.
I am now taking a break. I have cornered myself quite conveniently into my office. My two kids at home are cornered on the otherside of the house - coincidence...nah.
I am preparing to have my mom, stepdad, sister and her family over tomorrow night. I pray that the house will stay somewhat clean between now and then. It may take a miracle.
Tonight is Sissy's Christmas program at school. She is very excited about it. And I am very excited to hear Mr. Daniel Cason again. He is such an awesome pianist! (Click here to listen to some of his music.)
Now, back to exercise. I know I need to, and a part of me even longs to. But I just don't know how to motivate myself to start. A friend of mine started exercising about 6 months ago and just ran a 3 mile marathon! I think that is awesome. Another friend did the Couch Potato to 10K program. And some do the Couch Potato to 5K. Maybe I should try that.
Or maybe I should just stick to mopping...

November....
Nothing much to speak of for November. The blogger bug struck me as it has some of you. Why does it seem like life goes by so fast and so full, yet I cannot find anything to really blog about???
This was my first Thanksgiving without my dad. The hardest part was actually driving up to the house. Also the fact that I did not hear his voice above the others - that I had to really not think about. Otherwise it was a nice get together.
Hunting season is in full swing. I am very thankful that we have just enough land for Hubby to go out and hunt when he wants. Although this weekend he is out with a business associate at a hunting club. He was like a kid waiting for Christmas to come!
Speaking of Christmas, I cannot believe there are only 19 more days! I really need to get my shopping finished, but I really don't like shopping...I guess I'll survive.
I am thankful all of mine are well - and all had wonderful weeks at school. Bubby was even asked by a sweet, cutie pie of a little girl in his class if he would marry her!!!

Here is a pic I took of an awesome sunset...

Until next time...
