A Landscaping Husband

We - by we, I mean Hubby - dug up two of our crepe myrtles (to relocate elsewhere) and replaced them with tree form hydrangeas. They are not blooming yet - but should soon look like this one. It is wonderful to have a landscaping pro as a husband. I absolutely love my yard. I will post some pics soon. I am going now to find out why I still hear Bubby, as he is supposed to be napping! Have a blessed day!

He will not grow weary anymore

My daddy passed away last night. I am really at a loss for words. I am so thankful that he knew Christ as his Savior - this gives me such peace. But yet I feel such exteme sadness. My heart feels broken. My daddy was such a great man and wonderful father. I am pouring tears because I can't go see him right now and because he can't hold me and tell me everything's alright...but I am so happy to know that he has a new, strong heart...and he will not grow weary or be faint anymore! And I do know that everything is alright - I just have to keep reminding myself of that right now. Please lift my family up in prayer to feel God's comfort and peace, especially my stepmom. And pray that we can be a witness to others. Thank you.

Give it all to God

Today Sissy is at school, Bubby has a friend over, and Baby is at a friend's house. I give them all to God..."Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Prov. 22:6.

My dad is back in the hospital. (He has congestive heart failure.) I am worried about him. He has so much fluid built up. They are trying to get it off, but he's also in a lot of pain - I hope they can find out why. I will be going to see him in a few hours. As of this moment, I can't write all my feelings - I just give it all to God... "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Is. 40:31

Hubby had to go back down to south Alabama - this job has become such a hassle. I just hope today is the last day he has to deal with it. I give it to God also..." Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Prov. 16:3

My mind is flying all over the place....I give it to God... "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Ps. 19:14

May God bless each person that reads this post and know that..."The Lord your God is with you...He will take great delight in you..." Zeph. 3:17

Show-and-Tell Friday

I saw this on another blog and thought it would be fun. Just like back in school when we got to bring something to school for Show-and-Tell.

Today, I thought I'd share this image. It is a silhouette of Hubby's father (Grandpa) when he was a young boy. We have it up in Bubby's room. It looks so much like Bubby. It's pretty cool - especially since Grandpa passed away when Hubby was 16 so our kids never got to meet Grandpa.

So now, it's your turn for Show-and-Tell!
